Isaiah, the 1st of the major prophets, had an active 54-year ministry centered around Jerusalem. He is mentioned by name in 6 New Testament Books. The prophet’s writing is referenced more than 35 times in the New Testament, and he is the most quoted Old Testament writer in the Gospel accounts. Obviously, this Prophet is worth listening to. Join us on the 2nd Sunday of Lent, 3/1/26, as Pastor Lance dives in the Book of Isaiah.

Millions of Christians worldwide observe Lent, a 40-day period of prayer, fasting, reflection and sacrifice leading up to Easter, widely considered the most important celebration on the Christian calendar. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, the Lenten period reflects the 40 days that, according to the Bible, Jesus Christ spent fasting in the wilderness before beginning his public ministry.

Power of Prayer

Prayer, according to the Webster Dictionary, a deliberate communication with a divine power, serving as expressions of thanksgiving, petition, adoration or intercession, providing comfort, guidance, and spiritual guidance. It is estimated that the word prayer and its various forms is used more than 1,000 times in the King James Bible. This word is obviously worth sitting up and listening to.
